So...

I'm confused...

Went over and took voltage readings all over, everything is good. Try to start it, nothing...
I took apart the dash to check out the ignition switch install... Here's where it gets interesting. If I pull the ignition switch out, I can manually actuate it and (so long as the key with the sensor is in the ignition lock) it starts right up...
I check the ignition lock, which appears to properly move the lever which actuated the ignition switch...

So how is it not working?

I'm thinking the lever going from the ignition lock to the ignition switch may be bent or otherwise messed up and just can't quite reach as far as needed. When its all together, it is very close to pushing the switch far enough, but not quite...

hmm. either you issue lie within the tiny differences between OE and aftermarket, or you just have bad luck and got a faulty switch either way, now that u know where exactly your problem lies, id say return the item for another one. if the same gap or w.e is still there, id say its safe to say youll have to bite the bullet and pay a visit to the stealership

Or just install a starter switch in an unused switch hole?
