Help: Car won't start
Fail #1) So let me get this straight, dude posts on here he knows the guy personally and goes back years? Then why didn't he call you for advice or PM you? Nice.
Fail #2) Other dude picks out NAME calling as the issue instead of the himself as offtopic. Nice try on redirection. I'm glad you got out of teaching. You'd be a great disservice to the our kids.
So not only did you troll the topic, you decided to throw reason that your idea was OK to be off topic. I'll join in on the fun.
I rolled down a slight hill in 2nd gear and popped the clutch and was good.

Which you have yet to help the OP in any of this.
I did bring up a valid point. If the car won't run and the parents are gone. Would you help someone hotrod their parents car getting them into trouble?
Now if the kid came back stating this was not the case. Which I figured he would. I would offer some help.
So maybe you need to chill out and have a beer or something. Get laid... But just relax.

Like others suggested, try jumping it first because a low battery can cause your stater to not turn the car over and just click/make tazer sound. It that doesnt work, its 99% bad starter.

- Check the connections at the battery. (Clean and Tight)
- Check to see if the headlight switch/dome light is on. (Dead battery)
- Check the ground wire to the body/frame (dirty or missing connection)
- Check battery (age date)
- Load test battery (battery can still work radio but not turn car over under a load) What do the headlights look like when on?
