HELP ! Berkeley people. my car is dead on the street right now !!! *problem solved*

Hi guys,

I parked my car outside of Unit 1 last night.
And then i think my proximity alarm keeps going off,
and this morning, just now. at 9:23am,
my car battery is dead.

Is there anyone in berkeley right now who can help me jump start my car?
My ride is a 2002 white wrx.

I need help now, coz my car is parked at a meter with a 2 hour limit.

oh.. and i don't have a cable, and i would pay for the cable and gas if you can come by.
and of course i owe you lunch.

Please reply me asap, or call 408 4290019.

THanks soooo much,
Man-Hin

If you are still there by around 1pm, I can drop by - but hopefully you find somebody before that bro.

edit.
I found out online,
but the problem for me is, i don't have open space in front of my car.
so i can't push it forward as fast as i can.

thanks for the advice tho.

you can probably push it out of the space and straighten it out.

You can also push start rolling backwards with reverse. This is an advanced redneck maneuver though so you might need to ask some help from someone with a Mustang. I drove a Mustang with no battery at all in it for a few weeks. I started it backing down my driveway slope every day.

Yup, the great thing about cars is the push start, did you know you can also push start an automatic? Yup, it's possible.

jonp: actually, it's just like push starting a manual. Just put it into drive real fast, then into neutral again. As long as it cranks on, you're good to go.
