Help ASAP!!!!!
ok i have a short throw shifter took it out tonight to put in the oem one on Having trouble putting the ball at the bottom on the stick back into the socket where all the grease is scoobymods just says hit it with a hammer put that doesnt work i have work in the morning HELP ME

you've got to hit it pretty damn hard. use a deadblow hammer, or a mallet. i had to pound on mine for a bit before it went in. if that fails, take a block of wood and drill a hole in it the same diameter as the top of the shifter. slip the block onto the shifter, and hit the block.

Don't hit it with a metal hammer. I screwed up the top of mine, luckily I had an aftermarket shift **** that didn't need to be screwed down.

my dad gave me this 10 pound rubber mallet this morning and i hit it not even twice and it poped right in. thanxs guy



I guess bigger is better
