Hello? D1? Anyone?
There I was lurking to see what the chatter was, and alas... No discussion on the BAY AREA forums! Is anyone going? Is it going to be cool? Are you excited?
I'm not going, but I am! I try to attend and support as much of these "Alternative" forms of motorsport as I can. (Alternative to NASCAR anyway!!) ALMS, SPEED Challenge, Superbike, CHAMP CAR, even Formula D!! --don't laugh. I'd like to see the population go more toward 'Time-attack' style racing. 1 - 5, maybe even 10 laps of ***** out driving keeps the attention span of the average American viewer a whole lot better than a 3 hour circle jerk. More drivers, faster cars, more action. Like a bunch of LIVE BestMotoring challenges! Not to say that endurance racing is boring, it’s an exhausting discipline in its own. I will always marvel the determination and stamina of the few who can take it ... ie. Formula One
So yea... D1. Get off yer keester and go watch some rubber disintegrate! It’s always worth the trip!
(Even if your pissed off all the way home cuz your G/F made you go home early... Leave her home and get 0WN3D at the Asian massage parlor a few miles from the track)
