So shagon and I are the only two confirmed that will be meeting up and driving down on Friday. Is anybody FOR SURE coming with us? We are leaving daly city starbucks at 7:15am on Friday

seriously, no more highway 5 runs for moi. i've done literally close to 100 round trips (that's 200 drives) over the years visiting & coming back when i lived down there.
btw, if i were you guys, i'd leave earlier than 7am to avoid traffic, esp all the semis. if you leave The Bay around 2-3, you'll get there way before 9 just cruising and have time to crash out for a bit then still have the rest of the day to enjoy.

Yeah I'd leave earlier than 7am. 2-3am like CLsmooth71 would be best, should get there with none to minimal traffic. Oh, and since you guys are taking 580 to 5, stick to the fast lane on 580. When you hit the altamont right after Livermore, the roads are pretty messed up. Fast lane was the smoothest in my experience. Ive been in some of the other lanes and parts feel like you hit a curb they're so bad.
