headlight restoral

Heard thru a little birdy (at gst lol) theres a person or 2 on here that does a killer headlight restoration job AND knows how to remove the amber inside the headlights where are ya??

cool dude with a lot of (retro fit? i think u mean?) projects under his belt. ive seen a lot of great reviews from fellow members who have sent him their heads or tails!

IIRC, Brendan also does killer photography. Never met the dude, but seen some of his work. I believe Cobb Tuning just uploaded a pic of StiCruisin's flared STi that was taken by him. I think. either way, OP, good luck with retro! im sure itll come out killer!

By restoring them, you are removing some of the plastic (or whatever our lens covers are made of) along with whatever is left of the fading clear coat. Make sure you either re-clear it or put a clear bra type film over it otherwise it'll just yellow again quickly.

^ This. I think there may be a coating on the plastic to prevent fading early on and that gets worn off over time. Once you are past that point, you have to re-protect them or polishing and correction will not last that long.
