Yeah, Snohumper did his with a heat gun. He helped me do mine in the oven. It turned out really well and only fogged up about 1/8 of the light once. Looks a lot better. You should debadge while you're at it. =P

The oven part is for the lense. After about 20min or so you can take off the lense with no problem. Try to do it slowly so it doesnt get the glue all over. The orange parts are held on by little clips that you can just cut off.

Ok heres the lowdown for those of you who "clicking on links" is against your religious beliefs, removing the headlights form the actual car is a cakewalk, before you bake remove the 8 screws which are on the back of the headlight and clean front with windex.

Then when you throw it in the oven I did mine at 250 degrees for 15 minutes while on a cookie sheet, now for positioning just make sure when it is in the oven it is not resting on its wires. by now your 15minutes should almost be up then make sure you have an area to put the hot head light unit and a friend or two who arnt afraid of a lil heat would be a plus.

When seperating this is what I found to be the hardest part just because its the first time and your afraid you gonna break something well be afraid be very afraid cause I only removed 7 screws on my first one and I broke the pice that the screw is held in. While seperating you need to push the little Nibs in with a screw driver or your finger, allways and I mean alway apply "even" preassure to lamp when you seperate, and do it as promptly as possible due to the fact that this silicon cools down 3-4 times faster then the time it took heating up so your left with about 1 and a half minutes to seperate.

Now the Headlamp is seperated and you want to remove the Amber top center and amber right corner, with mine I had to break the little tabs off the right corner amber piece with plyers but I didnt care cause I have no use for it, you will see hmm Im trying to remember but there are two internal plastic parts which these Amber pieces are attached to the small upper piece which is short and narrow and long housing the blinker and parking light, would be 3 screws and the bigger piece I forgot exactly how many screws but it wasnt much and they are in obvious spots you will see them. so just remove the amber pieces from the back side.

Now I did more than that I actually painted the plastic pieces which are on the inside this is something that takes time and patiens, right Al? haha ok I used regular flat black spreypaint but you need to make sure of two things, 1 sprey "primer for plastic" on there which runs about $3.99 at osh a can and 1 can is more than enough, two very light even coats emfasis on "light coats" then you want to let dry the longer the better, following the primer is dry, you will spray the sprey paint which I also got for $3.99 at OSH, It is manditory that you put on about 3 light even coats and let each coat dry or you will regret it! trust me you dont want it running, or cracking.

Assembly, This was the easiest part of the whole process I was thinking it was gonna be hard. re attach all the parts to the specified original location but leaving the two main housing pieces seperat take the back part (black piece) and in the oven for like 12-15 minutes at 250 degrees remember make sure there is nothing resting on the wires, as a pastime activity you can ceck your work or clean the inside of your glass piece which will not be re cooked yet. finally the timer is beeping remove the back piece from the oven and alight and add preasure make sure Nibs are all in correctly and everything is alighned(dont forget any pieces out side), once everything is back together and a bit cooled I threw my final product in the oven for about 5-7 minutes so it can do a final sealing of the silicon, ensuring no dew or water will get in.

Good Luck!

The only orange part I left was the parking light in the corner. It looks really nice. Don't worry about the blinker.

Where are you from? Maybe you can just take a look at my headlights and make your decision from there. SnoHumper and I can even give you a hand with it.
