Have questions of newer outbacks

My pops is looking to get an outback so he can venture of course a little more......I don't understand they seem to be more expensive than sti's.........

Anybody have any advice? he wants a turbo one. I see them for like 23, and i remember when I bought my 04 wrx new for like 22.8, my 05 sti new for 30.8.......and i see used outbacks for mid 20's with 30k on them. Whats the deal ?

I dunno. I looked up "Outback XT" real quick on craigslist and only found 1 in the whole bay area.

"Outback" is a trim level available on the Legacy or Impreza platform. I think only the Legacy is available with a turbo.

2005 to 2008 Outback XT has a 2.5 Liter Turbo. Exact same motor as on the 05-08 Legacy GT. It also happens to be an STi longblock.

Yes and Yes, but he's asking why people are asking so much money for them. All I know is that the XT starts at 30K to begin with. They're not as cheap as I thought they were.

I think the way they do this has changed in the last couple years. There is only 1 outback with a turbo.......at least that I can tell. Im just wondering y they are so expensive.
