Anyone know a great place to pick one up in the bay, new or used?
Look into going places like play it again sports, salvation army, and the flea markets. Good luck.

Got a set of the Powerblock Sportblock 5.0 dumbbells. They're a little pricey, but considering the other options out there, it's a good value.

If anyone is in the process of picking an adjustable weight set, the Powerblock line up should be on your short list.

Originally I was using the elastic bands for the original Power 90 routine. I got bored of them and decided to step it up with some free weights. Big difference in the workouts now. I feel I'm getting more progress with the weights and it's easier to track progress when you increase the weights.

I've got 30 days left on the Power 90 then I'm jumping into the P90X. The powerblocks seem to be a great asset for these fast paced workouts.

Best of luck for any of you still picking out the best weights for you.

Yea, waiting still to pick up some Powerblock Elites, I've searched for alternatives, but they just dont exist. Powerblocks are the right way to go, and although expensive, are seriously a big time $$ saver.

Other than that, I am getting a workout mat and kitchen scale to weigh my food to get a good estimate of what I am going to be chompin on. Just saving up for the powerblocks, and I already have in mind the couple of supplements and how I'll be ingesting them.

Working out is the fun part, it's eating that is the most brutal
