I'm not claiming I know anything at all about eating a burger, I don't eat enough of them to even give a good detailed opinion. So don't get me wrong when I just give out my opinion to which burgers I have eaten and I personally enjoy.

I haven't tried Counter in Santana Row or in Palo Alto, but if I'm in the area and hungry I'll keep that name in mind.

I used to have 15 minute lunches and carls jr was half a block away. In the 4 years I worked in the area, I went there 2 or 3 times.

and if youre gonna pay $5 get a damn burrito somewheres!

If a burger doesn't taste beefy, then it doesn't matter how much cheese, bacon, guacamole, jalapenos, pineapple, etc., it is still, to me, a crappy burger.
I remember Red Robin a year ago, so good and huge portions. A month ago it was HORRIBLE! the food looked like death, smaller portions, and was pretty tasteless. Something changed.

I make really good burgers, using sirloin steak, using my parents' food chopper, I use my own grown seasonings, and they are epic.

But that requires a lot of effort and MONEY, since there's just two of us... I even go to the local bakery to get a good bun for the said burger... I'd like to thank Alton Brown for his ingenious ways and my mother for her seasonings!
