question but im wondering does anybody have any rear strut spacers for an 02 wrx? i have saggy butt and im rubbing on my new tires

 

I think you can get those pretty cheap from Turn In Concepts.

 

yeah, paranoid fabrications makes them as well. all around the same price. also, spacers will allow the wheel to rest at a lower position relative to the fender, but putting spacers in will only mean that you'll still rub, just under more load. what is the offfset, diameter, and width of your rims? and what tire size are you running? this info will help us determine how much work needs to be done in order to reduce the rubbing.

 

im running 17x7.5 wheels with i think 245s

Gonna be tough not to rub with that unless you get your fenders rolled with a high offset wheel.

Correction the tires are 235 and I'm running sti struts with spt springs

Adding the spacers should do the trick but you may have to have your rear fenders rolled to keep it from rubbing during hard driving.

 

My friend says they are +48 or + 46

 

does anybody here have any suggestions so that i can drive my car to work tomorrow? i hate to say it, but 'rig' some washers on top of the struts for a day? lol dont hate

 

+48 is a pretty common offset for wheels intended for use on the wrx. It's the gold standard so to speak for 17 inch wheels.

as for rig something. I wouldn't recommend it.

Basically to run 235's on a 17 inch +48 offset wheel on a wagon with sedan struts AND springs you're gonna get the saggy butt spacers and most likely roll those rear fenders. And in all likely hood run a little bit of camber in the back. If you had a wagon spring on there you probably would only need the spacers and some camber. With wagon struts and springs probably just camber.

Rigging it up is a bad idea. I mean you could stack some washers in there but I don't know if that's gonna solve it for you.

 

yeah cause its bad if i slowly accelerate i rub and it does it more if i turn..i guess i can drive slowly tomorrow until i can get some fender rolling action and spacers. are there ANY local shops that carry the spacers?

 

Not that I know of but I'd call around. Maybe give Crucial a call. I bet Jeremy can source some pretty quick for you.

Best bet is to just call tomorrow first thing and place an order with Turn in.

if you don't have them I'd get some camber bolts. Most shops should have some so go to your favorite shop and pick them up. I think GST has whitelines.

An alignment is gonna be crucial.
