Has anyone used this?

It is an electronic valve that you open via a switch inside your wrx's "cockpit" and it bypasses the catback and exhausts straight out this pipe. and when you want it quiet.. you hit the switch and it closed the valve putting the exhaust out your catback.

just curious who has tried it, and if they have seen good results. kinda a cool idea. its made by quicktimeperformance.com

you mean a cut-out?

the thing is, if youre running rich enough and tend to afterfire and shoot flames....youre going to be shooting flames under your car. also, as anyone who has run an open downpipe will tell you, theres less low end torque without the catback exhaust

jury says: ricer mod due to less power and jsut being about the sound

I had something like that on my 92 Integra. It was the same thing, an electronic exhaust cutout just by a different company. Makes a hell of a lot of noise and it doesnt feel like you gain that much power, but it does make a little bit of a difference.

Yeah, you lose torque from less piping. That's why a lot of karts have a detachable exhaust so they can get more torque from longer piping without having to have an extra 4-5 inches in their trailer.
