Not really. Drugs are flat out retarded, regardless of the day, 'holiday,' and this falls true with any drug, from weed to ecstasy. Someone brought up a good point about how street racing is frowned upon, yet a thread encouraging the use of illegal substances can stand, with support at that...boggles the mind, doesn't it?

Please explain to me how weed is more evil than alcohol? I dont recall hearing about a stoned driver killing innocent people, but I could probably find, from the last 3 days a number of DUI fatalities. How about lung cancer rates in pot smokers vs liver or kidney failure/disease rates in alcoholics? Weed is far less dangerous of a drug to individuals and to society as a whole. The fact that the government wastes billions of dollars a year fighting "the war on drugs" which they are losing is absurd when our public school system and public health care system need funds badly.

 

Telling folks to have a happy day is "encouraging use of illegal substances"? man, you seem to read a lot into it...

If only people who truly needed marijuana as a medication recieved it under prop 215 then I dont have a problem with it. For example terminally ill/chronic long term pain sufferers that can't and/or shouldn't be taking narcotic painkillers, AKA people like Jeff Conaway. But seeing as nearly every stoner I know is trying to/has gotten a marijuana club card and can get weed for "headaches" prescribed by a doctor as such....then I cannot accept that marijuana is legal.

After working in drug rehab for 9 years, and seeing how recreational use of weed leads to more than it just being 'a hobby' way over half the time amongst users, I can tell you flatout that weed is addictive & thus a drug.

I count alcohol as a drug too, hence why I don't touch any of that crap. There's a reason I look 10 years younger than people my age, and it ain't due to good genes.
