They are supposed to be better than the Falekns for road courses because they do not get as greasy as the Falkens.

I don't have personal experience but they were said to overheat

The rs3 is supposed to have addressed all the issues with the rs2 and claims 30% more grip over the rs2

They got super hyped when they came out, so I guess people just stopped buying the remaining stock of rs2's, hence the closeout

That was the one downfall I've encountered so far with my RT615s, they get greasy on the track when you're pushing them hard for any significant length of time.

This was what I was getting at in your other thread.

No harm, no foul. They work great and I am stoked. Oh, and for the record, mine treated me very well on the 100 mile round trip commute to work today. So far I prefer the Star Specs, but these needs some more time to break in and lose a couple /32"

Here is a motorcycle webpage showing some pics of my "daily drive"...except it shows the east side, and not my west side We have to be smooth on our side to avoid the redwoods and other misc obstacles...

I can't believe how amazing these are, and for $303 shipped to my door!

I am just amazed at how great these tires are! In my 10 years in the subaru world I have gonne though many, MANY tires in my time and I can honestly say that these are the best sub $220 per corner tires that money can buy.

They absolutely blow the RE070's that the stock STi came with, If the STi had come with these hankooks off the bat we would have actually beat the EVOs in the magazines!!!

Im sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy about running 245's instead of the old 205/215 on the RS... Thank god
I ran them back in 2005, they are pretty good for a street tire, but can't compare to:

AD07
AD08
RE-01R
RE-011
Dunlop Z1 Star Specs
Kumho XS

But, they are pretty darn cheap right now...

Yeah, I personally like the Star Specs more than the hankooks (the star specs I'm running now directly replaced the hankooks). The main place I notice a difference is rushing to make a turn at an intersection, the star specs just feel like they are planted much better.

I don't believe that on the street you need to have the best track tire on your car at all times, and the only reason I tried the Star Specs this time was because there was an i-club member offering a good deal at a bay area Goodyear.

I think the upgrade in size made a huge difference. 245 from 225. Also, they haven't made a single squeal at all since Ive had them, Ive pushed them hard too, not a single noise from them which is damn impressive!

Compared to the RE070 that the STi came with:
1. Less break away noise
2. More predictable
3. Better grip and break away traction
4. Less noise overall
5. Easier to hold a slide and allow you to stay neural and doesn't force you to add extra input or overcompensate a slide (if that makes sense)
