Must have been about midnight last night when I heard someone burn out in their car followed immediately by 4-5 rapid gunshots. Minutes later I heard a helicopter which I assume was associated. I live kinda near the Shell on Embarcadero so maybe it was in EPA?

Anyone else hear this or know what the hell happened? I tried researching but couldn't find anything.

 

I don't see any logs via firedispatch so... Im pretty sure I had my pager on open chatter so I would've heard the dispatch too.

 

Probably some punks bouncing their vtec off the rev limiters. I wouldn't worry too much. If you are worried, go buy a pump action 12 gauge, and some 3" slugs.

wow... that is really sketchy sounding. i actually was out running and got home just about right at midnight and as you know, i live pretty close to the shell station over there lol. i didn't hear any of the gun shots or helicopters but it could of been because i hopped in the shower right when i got home...

 

i honestly was in and out of sleep all night so it easily could have been later

 

lawl, come over to my place for a night, that happens atleast 6-7 times a day.

 

I lived over there in the 90's and we would hear gunshots every night.

 

Yeah see that's one reason why I live in palo alto, cuz I don't hear gunshots

to be fair though, the crime rate in our friendly east side neighbors (epa) in the 90s was no where near where it is now
