For what it is worth, a good friend and I did this in SF several years ago and had a blast......We even started the ralley with all the drivers and then ran the first leg (To Reno that year). I think I still have my instruction card for the first leg....One of the best days...

I-Club should represent, I know that I will be there.

I thought the Gumball was an illegal race across Europe? Since when does it start in SF, and since when is it ALLOWED to even happen. I thought the whole point was to have a bunch of rich guys race across Europe and evade the ****ty euro cops. Police in the states seem to take **** like this a lot more serious. Unless of course they completely changed what the Gumball is all about.

The race isn't illegal. Rally's are legal events. Its the speeds the drivers CHOOSE to go that are illegal.

And it's been in the states before. It moves around.

And yes people will end up in jail and/or with some seriously hefty fines.

Yeah , Temple was poppin last week. I started Friday night @ Fluid then did a shame spiral of Club NV - The X to see a bunch of former club ppl I used to work with @ those spots.

Waiting to see if anyone else I know from "the industry" is going to Temple on Friday. Waiting to hear back from a couple of my girls down south. If I can crash with them on Sat in LA and Sun in SD, then I'll be all over Gumball.
Anyone got a camera/mount I can borrow? heh heh.

I completely forgot about this and was working in SF this morning. We were off loading trucks on 2nd street and earlier in the morning some awesome sounding/looking MR2's went by, and then later in the afternoon I heard a couple bad *** cars fly by. Thats when I looked out of the truck and gotta chance to see a whole stream of Gumball cars driving by!!! Talk about being star struck!! Some sick cars were there, including a white M6 with white lip deep dish wheels that sounded amazingly mean. Not to mention the legion of Ferrari's that were screaming by. God I wish I had my camera

Oh yeah, has anyone seen the cost of being in the Gumball 3000??? If you havent, its 60,000lbs Euro for each car for you and one other if this is your first event. 50,000lbs Euro if youve attended before, and 20,000lbs Euro for each addtional person in your car!!!! I didnt think it was that high, but GOOD LORD!!!!

In US Dollar that would be around....

60,000lbs Euro=90,285.30 USD
50,000lbs Euro=75,237.75 USD
20,000lbs Euro=30,095.10 USD
