GT4 Nürburgring Challenge - Impreza vs. M3

I have a friend in Finland who has an M3 and we always talk smack about each other's cars. So we are settling it at the 'Ring.
- Stock M3 vs. Stock WRX STi. Year or sub-model doesn't matter, but we are using 04 M3 vs. 02 STi, not CSL or Spec C or anything like that.
- Use the simulation tires - N1, N2, N3 - "Road" is best.
- STi no driving aids except VCD. M3 can use ASM & TCM.
- Try not to hit anything or cut the course.
Right now I'm at 8:26, still waiting for his time.

Why not use sport tires?

The sport tires represent something like a DOT-R tire. If you read the fine print in the game it says that the Standard tires (N1,2,3) will give you the most accurate simulation of the car's stock performance. In GT3 they called it "Simulation Tire" IIRC.
We were trying to compare stock-to-stock so we chose the N tires.

I'll have to see what I do on Nurburgring. I love that course. I'll use an 04 STi non Spec C edition and I'll see what I lap.

Yep I'm going to do a run in the M3 next. After watching M3's on Best Motoring I am starting to like them more.
