Gruppe-S Headers -- Ceramic coated or not?

Gruppe-S headers - price installed - $399

Ceramic coating headers pricing installed - $575

Car: 2002 wrx wagon, 54K miles, daily driver, no track, no autox
Engine mods:
-IC hoses
-Catless uppipe
-TXS TBE w/highflow cat
-TXS TMIC
-Ecutek
-Boost & EGT guages

Once the headers are on, I will have another custom tune.

Is it worth $176 for the coating? Please let me know your thoughts.

coating will help keep the heat in, and the headers will make some more power in the mid and up top. No experience or testing that I have done though.

I'd get the coated ones and do the install yourself. Total of 8 nuts, 3 gaskets and your front o2 sensor... its not too hard of an install. Then go in for your tune.

deffinately coated. w/o coating they cool down very quickly and make for inconsistant spoolup and response.

I have a set of coated ones. They were coated by Crucial. They have about 1500 miles on them. They are off the car and ready to go. I'll let them go for $400 bucks. PM me
