Group-n top hats look different? (aka rear suspension cluster f%&$)

Ok here is what I have:

Tokico d-spec struts

Tokico springs

Tokico OEM style top hats

02-03 Group-n rear top hats (bought on forum classifieds)

I bought a kit on ebay with the shocks and springs. It was listed for 04-05 WRX but from my research the D-Specs were only ever made for the 02-03 WRX. I cross referenced the part numbers for the top hats that came in the kit and they are for an 02-03 WRX so that pretty much confirms that issue. So everything I have should be for the 02-03. Everything should bolt up. But it doesn't. The group-n top hats look completely different from the top hats that came in the kit. I also have my old stock suspension and those top hats look just like the kit hats. So do I need more parts to make my group-n hats work? Everything I've read says 'Oh yea sure buddy just bolt up and go no problem!' Gotta love the internet.

Nevermind, the issue is that I bought 04-07 group-n hats, the seller must have been mistaken.

For the record, those Group N rear top hats make a ton of noise in general
