Yes, and don't like them one bit. Sloppy in the corners, they go from "understeer" to "crap facing the wrong way" far too easy. They don't have the kind of reliability a good car should have. I will give Ford credit, they are leaps in front of GM or Dodge, but they are still craptastic.

There is a reason why cars like the M3, GT-R, Subaru, and EVO are the kings of the time attack track speeds/times. Domestic cars are great for off the line speed and a quick 1/4 time. However they have no place on a real track at real speeds around real corners.

LOL 30+ seconds slower than any other class, and tries to support fords as a viable car. *rolls eyes* bet its a widebody too right? LOL!!!!!!!!!

Also, not sure where you got that list. It ain't on the official time attack site.

Shocker of shocker way down there is a mustang in one class. you know, among all the imports (and one corvette LOL)

To be fair, I dont think they corvette has anything to prove after the C5R and C6R went le mans racing.

It's the enthusiast class. Not a whole lot you can do to make cars fast in that class. I think that' why it's a good example. That car doesn't have an abundance of mods to make up for it's mustang short comings.

This is simply what is called 'attention bias'. Each of those individuals has a pre-set subjective preference/bias (JR = wide-body, OB = Ford sucks) and they only notice facts/opinions that support those perceptions and ignore anything that contradicts it.

*chuckles* considering I have likely owned, built, and restored more cars, including fords, than any 5 people on i-club. That is a pretty tall comment to make dude.

My dislike of fords comes from direct experience.

And what does that have to do with the price of tea in China, sunshine?

You personal dislike comes from your personal experiences. Nothing wrong with that. To each their own. That's that's all it is; meaningless single data point (just like my build history). Everyone's mileage varies.

Without specific context of your builds; cars owned, what purpose, built process, problems encountered, ultimate budget/timeline overruns, quality of parts/labor used, etc etc etc...and, most important, how everything compared to your personal subjective expectations...it is just some nebulous internet posturing.

And regardless, aren't we all car enthusiasts here? Just with different preferences and passions? I seriously don't get all this elitism and snobbery. So what if people like form over function builds? Or Ford vs Chevy? Who cares? As long as the individual admits ownership/accountability for his intentions...what does it matter?

New information comes out, adjust my opinion accordingly. On yesterdays models and info I was right, but this new model changes that.
