GOTO:Racing looking for funded drivers to run ES WRX in 25 Hours of Thunderhill
GOTO:Racing has put together a budget to run a competitive ES car for the 2005 25 Hours of Thunderhill. We are looking for three funded drivers for the event. Because of the timeframe, we need commitments by the end of the week, or very soon there after. Here is a list of how the car will be prepared...
Engine - 2.8 Liter Crawford = Lots of horsepower
Drivetrain - The entire drivetrain will be swapped out for 05 STi components for durability.
32 Gallon fuel cell with a duel dry brake system and fuel tower
Car will weigh aprox. 2800 w/driver
We are running to be competitive (not just to finish) so the budget relfects that, the price is $13,000 per driver for roughly 5 hours of seat time in the 25. This price includes a test day for all the drivers at Thunderhill prior to the event, and the test day the day before the event. All food is included.
Please PM, email, or call ASAP if interested and further details can be given.

Me thinks the chance of finding people on this board with:
1. $13,000
2. A weeks notice
3. Can drive on the track worth beans
4. Enough drive to commit to anything if 1-3 above is met
is probably, oh, about 100,000,000,000:1

I just realized how poor I am
thank youI thought I was doing well with my STi and all, but you've crushed my morale and wounded my inner-child with your brutal reality check.
For that kind of money, you'd think it might include a share of the car though or something?

The car needs to start getting transformed ASAP. We are not just running for kicks, we are trying to win. Yeah it could be done for less money, but then the car would be slower and may not finish. I am just looking to make the budget and thats how much it costs.
I am looking for serious racers with personal sponsors. I would not expect anyone to have 13,000 just laying around.

Thunderhill is my favorite place though, I could drive that track in my sleep.
