I was cruising around the forums, and I fell across something about how some Rota Subzero's were recalled. I was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction of some more info. Better safe than sorry. Thanks.

You can give them the Serial Number that is on the rim and they can tell you if they are a part of the recall.

I am not sure. I was hoping that someone could give me a better idea of what was wrong and when it happened.

 

I believe it was on one of the 1st batches and quite small ~ there is a famous 'anti-Rota' shot of one of these wheel failures that comes out all the time when it gets heated on the forums ~ course it was being rally-crossed when it let loose!

 

I had a set of rota subzeros and beat the living **** out of them. No problems with them. I miss them, but now have rota torques and prodrive P1s.

 

Yeah. I just want to make sure that there are nothing wrong with them.

 

It was a very small batch of subzeros. Around 20 or so. ( I don't have the exact records now). To my knowledge, all wheels were acounted for and replaced. Just the same, send me your batch code and I can check it for you. There will be a small circle in the back of the wheel which has a month and letter combination and year at the buttom. Something like A2/02 (just an example)

Ahh... Yeah... I have come across a few threads on different forums bashing Rota's for whatever reason.

 

whatever rotas are the best bang for the buck. i would much rather have SSR's but hey not all of us can afford 2g's for wheels.


but then again norcal thinks his rsx is fast HAHA
