Got presidents off? bored? i could use a hand or two with the car

If anyone is bored and got nothing to do, I could use a hand with the RS today. Putting the rear shocks in, rear sway bar needs paint, replace brake master cylinder and then bleed the brakes (usually takes two folks for that). Maybe put the downpipe on. Going to start around 10am.

Email me at my handle @ gmail for Addy. (I moved last year). I'd appreciate it. Beer and pizza on me.

I would help, but my slave drivers also do not believe in holidays And if I try to take such days off, I am asked if I don't have enough work to keep me busy 7 days a week

Still want to check out the car post-swap (as I'm hoping to go that route in the very near future), but the drive's a bit much and my time's a bit short for me these days.

It was a bit of a disaster... STi brake master cylinder has 1 line in a different spot, and won't matte up to my stock booster. STi booster is way wider and didn't look like it was going to clear.

Figured I'd just go pick up a new booster and master cylinder made for my car... none are made. No longer available, and Subaru dealerships in stock over 1 hr away in all directions.

Just spent $453 that i didn't want to spend for new MC and Booster from Subaru, why? Cause 99-01 Imprezas have to be different...

WRX one wouldn't have worked?

I woulda tried to fabricate something before dropping coin like that.

Could you use a flare tool... cut the old part off and join it with one off an STI?

I'm not even going to mess with bending hardlines and/or cutting and double flaring them.

Car has like 194k miles on the stock MC/Booster and the brakes have a lot of dead play, and ***** up at the bottom. I'd rather just spend the the money, and do it right. Get fresh setup and install it saturday.

So this weekend I'll be working on putting the brake MC/Booster stuff back in, finish the front brakes, finish the front shocks, install the DP, Install the STi Intercooler. and then put the car down on ramps and Torque everything in the front and then the back.

Then I can think about doing the seats, should I even have enough time to do so.

Stupid car... lol
