Are those the front axles? Any oil on the engine side or just the transmission?

+1 on this one. Unless its coming from above the axle. No other place for it to come from really except up higher or the seal

Wipe it down and check again in a day or two. It could be the axle seals like some have said already. I had to replace mine a couple months ago

It could also be an oil return hose on the turbo right behind the up pipe or the rear wrist pin access behind the fly wheel

WIN IN lets see if I can go two for two.

Becasue it is to the front of the axle I believe and Im guessing this is the tranny on the passenger side I am going to say not the axle seal.

I would call it passenger valve cover, or the turbo line as mentioned earlier.

Keep us posted.

it looks like motor oil to me, If you look past both axles, you can see that the nuts that hold the tranmission to the block is also covered in oil. Which is more then likely that the rear wrist pin access hole plate is leaking and it is not the turbo oil return hose or valve covers.

I have never seen valve cover gasket or headgasket leak all the way back to the transmission though. And it is rare for me to see a external headgasket leak on the turbo motors, normally it would be an internal leak.
