Got hit by the bumper in parking lot. Now what?

Hi guys,

So, I parked right outside of starbucks. Got my morning coffee. Came out and noticed a scratch by the bumper, at a really high position. (i know the scratch was not there before I went in and got coffee, so that is out of the question)

And I remembered there was a jeep that was parked right beside me before I went in and got coffee. However, now he is gone. Cant confront the person who did the damage. (although the damage is really minor, but still there)

So, my question is, i'm so out of luck.. ? Unless I catch that very same jeep again next week at this starbucks location!?

oh yeah, also no security cameras around the complex. so, wouldn't be able to get the footage.

Although I'm sure it was the Jeep that was parked beside me earlier..

If you want it fixed, submit a claim to your insurance. You'll have to pay your deductible, but your insurance will cover the rest.

That, or just live with it.

Confronting them after the fact won't help ya much. If your deductible is high might be easier and cheaper to just pay to have it fixed yourself.

What if there is a clear indication / mark on his vehicle that it was his vehicle that caused the damage ? well, according to the damage height and color..

How can you prove that it is more than a coincidence?

Bottom line: this is what insurance is for

One of our cars got hit in front of the house and we found the car that did it and cops said since we didn't see it happen it's their word against ours. It was clearly the car that hit us as his white paint was on my car and my blue paint on theirs. Unless you can produce a whitness or video nothing you can do.

did you go talk to the owner of the car that hit you and try to reason with him?
