SPEED Will Lose F1 After This Season And That's Probably A Good Thing [Update: CONFIRMED]

Looks like Speed is losing F1 and won't be a car channel anymore in the near future.

 

damn I liked will buxton and paddock pass and poseys perspective.

 

That's too bad. I pretty much like the whole crew, Varsha and all.

 

Speed did F1 coverage? I usually just get the BBC or Sky recordings.

I generally watched the BBC or Sky coverage too. Speed's coverage is good.

 

They are looking into turning the channel into an overall sports channel.

Well this sucks. I wonder if we'll have to go back to torrenting the WRC feeds. I hope not because some of the feeds wouldn't be up for days after the rally. Speed just started showing the WRC again this year after a 4-5 year hiatus.

That is correct, they are turning it in to a general sports network called "Fox Sports 1"

 

Having never forgiven fox for gutting speedvision, I'm super happy about this!
