Of course, people said the same thing when they left Philadelphia in '54, then again when they left Kansas City back in '67 to go to Oakland.

maybe they can be renamed the Fremont Suburbians? i really doubt they leave, there has been rumors just about every year that they would leave since the raiders came back. that was over 10 years ago.

But then again they just might move...it would only take 15 more years to make a whole new fanbase of kids growing up... and if that means the man in charge is 40 years old now, he will be RICH at 55, and already retired at 40.

I think the only people it would change are the ones living in these two cities so they might not care about those people, since im sure that most the fans dont even live in Oakland.

They know that they can get 1/20 of San Jose hooked on baseball, thats 50,000 people enough to fill a stadium. The hardcore A's fans will be pissed but you wouldnt leave your team and your players behind and move on to the SF Giants.

fremont average salary $70K, oakland average salary $40K...easy choice for em.

and how much of the A's fanbase is actually living in oakland?

btw, howabout California A's ... since the Angels no longer use that? ...but Golden State would kick *** too.

Why bother? A's fans don't show up for the games anyways.

and my uncle dropped his season tickets for the raiders, not that he shouldnt have, but the new location is def real.

Dudes this means Mt Hamilton will get re-done since they need another pass between Tracy and Los Banos. Not that they will even bother going to the summit, but that means more driving for us. It will probly be some 55 mph road which will suck, since the only fun roads are 35 mph before deers start bouncing off your windshield.

if they move the people in oakland are going to go wild and kill people from freemont, or at least I hope so. I live like 10 min from oakland, they'd be ruining generations. I mean given the a's modest contracts etc.. It seems lame they would just do this over money.......hopefully they are just scaring oakland into buying them a new pladdddddiuuuuummmmmmmmm

or they could do something stupid like...

Oakland Athletics of Fremont

but judging by angels rivalry we probably wouldn't follow in their path.
<--- grew up in fremont... will miss going to oakland for the games

Im just excited about the new staidum. It will equal higher season ticket sales, and Lewis Wolff will inviest a portion back into the payroll. Can you imagine what Beane could do with some real money?!?!
