mm lots of nice roads around here. i live in santa rosa, so not too far.
the one i remember as being awesome was going up to heildsburgh and taking skaggs over the mountains to hwy 1 and then up the coast past gaulala and then crossing over to hwy 101.
i don't know the specifics, but those are the main roads on that drive.
also, theres a couple good roads around the napa area. you can get all the way to napa by taking calistoga road over and taking a bunch of roads over there all around.
as for a quick drive, if for some reason you need to get over onto highway 12 and want to take a fun route that will be out of the way, take the rp expressway exit and follow the expressway to petaluma hill road. turn left where it ends and then take the next right at the first light. have some fun on that road until it ends and then turn right after the road ends/goes over a bridge. have more fun on that road. where that road ends, go towards kenwood. it turns into warm springs road, which takes you to hwy 12 in the middle of kenwood.
o yea, another fun road over to napa from hwy 12 is trinity road. its on the way to sonoma off hwy 12 on the left side of the road. its in between kenwood and sonoma (google map it if you need to). its a really fun road, really tight but awesome
hope that helps a bit!

First of all...welcome to I-club, the coolest most friendly car forum youll ever be a part of. Looks like you mtn bike or snowboard... cool!
but Bad question!Close thread!
Not being a dick, just trying to keep driving the mtns "legal"
Naming roads on Forums= police finding out what/where we do= more trouble for us in future.
1/2 the fun of roads is exploring them and not knowing what you're gonna get.
Google earth is the best answer you will get in this thread.
Just look for a road that looks like the vain going up that one old ladies leg, zoom in and find out what its called
good luck!

That's where the CHP likes to hang out watching the speeders fill their quota...err "workload indicators".
I know this guy's a newbie, but please, don't try to get him in trouble THAT quickly. Besides, if he wants to drive, then simply attend Doc Wong's clinic and take the drive afterward. The road names are all listed in his original post, so you know no one is going to be going too fast.

Skyline is a 100 mph deer bashing festival. Yeah it has a few fun turns where youre "legally" allowed to do 50 mph thru 30 mph turns. But youll hit a deer doing skyline at its limit, which average speed is probably 90 mph.
I prefer 30-60 mph, mainly because of deer and tickets

Well since your in petaluma you have all the best roads in your back yard =) take a map a co driver and maybe a friend [ if they can keep up
] and just go explore. One other thing if you don't know the limits of your car yet don't push it. No need for any more crashed subies.
