Hey guys, I'm from the central valley but my gf just recently moved to Hayward for school. Needless to say I am gonna be spending alot more time up here and was hoping somebody could point me in the direction of a good place to get pho in the Hayward area. Thanks.

^Agreed. That place is all hype. The "Pho Challenge" is lame. If you want to die of MSG poisoning, go for it.

 

The best Pho place that I've tried so far seems to be Pho Kim Long down in Milpitas. When going down 880, you exit towards The Great Mall, but head a few more lights past The Great Mall and you will see it in a shopping complex on the left.

I like Pho Quyen #2 in Mountain View off of El Camino and Bernardo - I have no idea where the hell Pho Quyen #1 is though...

Foster City? Huh, my gf and I live in San Mateo, and we're always complaining that there is no good Asian food in the peninsula, especially vietnamese.

^ it is right next to Deny's off of hilsdale going into foster ciry, and el camino real in san mateo right next to Fresh Choice

 

+1 for this place. Be warned that the place does have a dirtiness to it but it probably also adds to the flavor.

 

I really like My Tho in newark and Pho Today in Milpitas.
