There's a place in San Carlos called Bombay or Bombay Palace (not sure) on El Camino just north of San Carlos Ave. I have been going there for years, and it's always been great. I have heard a couple 'food picky' people say good things about it too.

oh but that's right, the thread is about curry.

If you want curry, hit up a south indian food place. Curry isn't typiclaly used in northern indian foods, but the northern indian restaurants do make curry items. Some make them well, some make them not so well.

Kabila in South Hayward off Hesperian makes good food over all.

Bombay Garden- You really shouldn't eat there. They don't have clean kitchens sometimes... trust me.

lol....my bad, Reading is FuN-dA-MeNtAl

i hella miss Curry House though.....good eats, incl those you mentioned. Their hamburger steak curry over rice (like a loco moco deal) is YUMMY. They got good iced tea + cutie waitresses too.

anyways, I'm not an Indian food guru, but my sis is. I'll hit her up tomorrow when I see her about good Indian Curry spots in the Bay.

btw, it's not a dedicated curry joint, but that all you can eat Indian spot in San Mateo on 3rd or 2nd Ave is a good deal. Food's decent too. I forget the name though.

We had curry on Friday My gf is trying to steer us clear of it for a few days though because we really pigged out and suffered major korma-koma.

I've always regarded chicken tikka masala as the sweet and sour pork of indian food. 9/10 times, its a white dude ordering it.

I always order Chicken Tikka Masala at Naan and Curry in SF. I do this because it tastes effing awesome, and I enjoy it. Does that make me white?

When I'm back in england with my mates we roll into a curry house pissed at 2.00am and order 6 pints and 6 vindaloo's.....it's a tradition amongst brits.

I guess I am a white dude...and I love sweet and sour pork....guilty on both counts...

thanks again though, it was a great tikka.

What do you order pints of at 2am in the UK??? But I must say, best chinese and indian food I have had so far was when I lived there...

I am going to check out Suraj as soon as I can as we went to a place called Bombay Garden in San Mateo and it was crap. Oh, and I am going to order the tikka masala. I'm crazy like that.

Seriously though, if you find yourself in the Sunset - go to Naan and Curry. Super good, super cheap and byob (there's a liquor store just down the way). The best vindaloo I have had was at Indian Oven in the Haight tho.. Sorta spendy but I swear my sinuses are still clear.

No way dude, there's way better chinese food here. We need to start a thread so all us ****** on i-club can point you in the right direction. The trick is going with someone who speaks/reads chinese so they can order off the chinese menu.
