Good Chinese food place in chinatown SF

I have some friends in town from out of state and they want a good chinese food place to eat in Chinatown. I haven't been over there and don't know any places. Anybody have any recommendations?

probably a long shot, but if any of them are vegetarian and want a good veggie restaurant Enjoy Vegetarian restaurant is pretty good. It's right next to the parking garage at the center of chinatown where the park is (and where Holiday Inn hotel is) on Kearney.

R&G Lounge is where the Chinese people go eat in Chinatown
Washington Cafe's not bad either, and ABC works too.
If you like vegetarian, try Lucky Creation.

Those are my picks.

I personally really like the Oriental Pearl.

It's just down from the corner of Clay and Grant on Clay. Walking distance from the parking garage off kearny.

weird thing about C-town is the really good places are total dives and the really nice places are overpriced tourist traps, so if you dont mind eating at dives I can recommend some good spots

Whenever we go to Chinatown, we always go to this place with really good congee. They also have this fried donut wrap with rice noodle. The place is called Hing Lung.

Get the "jai leung", the chinese donut, and a bowl of congee. Look on the yelp photos to see what they are.

Dude, you just described half the places in Chinatown
The only time you see Chinese people at those places is when the banquet is so huge, it can't fit at the authentic/legit places. Otherwise, those places are just for the gwai lo's

And a LOL for the ABC's here (or those who know and love t3h ABC's)

I worked in chinatown for 2 years. Tried most places around for lunchtime, then my good friend and coworker told me his dad works as seafood chef at R&G so I tried it out with him. I'll never go anywhere else for dinner in chinatown. Try their crab in egg yolk batter, whole fish, clams with blackbeans, other things besides seafood, really anything. House of Nanking is greasy and overpriced in my opinion kinda the tourist restaurant of chinatown in the same way that italian place is on columbus/vallejo (why do people want to sit on the sidewalk in the freezing city and watch the endless trail of folks looking for parking on columbus is beyond me)

Or on the cheap, go get salt and pepper chicken wings and a unique chinese american diner lunch experience at Capital.
