good/ cheap knife store/source

heyo,
before I begin my thread, I'd like to state that this isn't about settling beef, a lot of shady things have been happening as of late (ie car theft) and I'd like some sense of security, I've already go a bat but I'd like something along the lines of a machete. Can anyone point me towards a cheap source? so far, people have said walmarts for about 10 bucks. online it's about 5 with 15 shipping, so I don't want to deal with that. If anyone in BAIC could kindly point me in the right direction of protecting my a** and car against these bums, crackheads and general effin' punks, I'd greatly appreciate it!

ps if possible id like to find a switchblade also, I hear they're illegal in CA. I figure: knife show???

Probably not the best idea to drive around with a machete or switchblade in your car. The bat alone is bad enough if the cops find it.

a blade less than 2" is legal. you can also get a permit to carry a weapon which would probably be your best place to start.

in the san fran bay area???????

good luck. all the liberal sheriffs and police chiefs would rather have you get attacked first in order to get a license to carry...

5-D cell Mag-Lite FTW!!

It's over a foot long, heavier (with batteries) than a bat, will shatter a kneecap in a single blow, and is perfectly legal to carry anywhere in your car. All it is really is a lead filled aluminum pipe with a bulb attached.

I used to work as a security guard years and years ago, and mine saved my a** a couple of times. One good overhand blow to the head will take down anyone on a really long term basis.

Just so you know a blow to the head or neck can be seen as deadly force. Always try to strike the knees, arms, or groin whenever possible

If you carry a bat in the trunk, also keep a glove and baseball.

A cop told me that one.

haha, no definitely not, things of that nature won't be in my car, but I park my car near my apt. in the complex parking. lots of shady stuff/people been happening, had a friend with an RX-7 get his tires slashed, been seeing people around my car, etc. etc. not to mention a whole lot of **** talking on the bums parts around here.

i would suggest something like a bat/long versions of the mag light/anything that can wack and looked upon as a everyday item. the problem with getting your blades on is that it can land you into big trouble of caught. plus if you get a blade im guessing you would have the intention of really cutting them up if you faced a situation.
i heard stories where people pulling out a knife to scare the "bad" guys away get into bigger trouble because they will pull their blade/gun out to have the upperhand. gotta keep in mind they are to get you so their most likely well prepared.

Oh, I understand the liabilities and consequences of the actions. If I feel the need to pull the Maglite out and use it in that manner, I'll definitely have justification...uneven odds were my reason...and once one of them went down, the rest backed off.
