Going to the Philippines in a few weeks, anyone know of any shops?

Hey everyone,
im going on a vacation to the philippines in a few weaks, does anyone know of any shops there? I know Japan is kidna close by, so i would think they would probably have some shops there that carry parts. Parts that are hopefully cheaper too.

thanks

if you are looking for suby parts... there's more parts here... for the simple fact that there is more customers here than they do there.

if they do have something there it will be priced according to supply/demand... since they don't sell a lot they will charge more i would think

when u leaving... i'll be there on the 18th of dec.

just go to air force one...they have a lot of parts there....hhaha...or malikaya...or any other massage parlors heheheeh..

yeah, what joseph said, just buy it here...you might wanna hit up Banaue in Quezon City, for some miscellaneous parts, toys for the big boys, catz etc...i believe they are all in QC

have fun, i was supposed to go this x-mas too, but work owned, so its just my wife and son whose going....

for a good time/night life, go to eastwood , libis, malate, rockwell in makati....etc...

oh the above places is only applicable if you are staying in manila....and while you are at it, might as well go in the abs-cbn studio and ask to be a guest in wowowee...j/k

There are plenty of Rotas availible for the 05 STi, importing 1 set individually would probably cost more then just buying directly through us though.

not 100% sure about that, but i'm pretty sure that would be the case.

if he has a few relatives going with him and not have much luggage, (allowed 2 big boxes per person) then bringing it over won't be a problem....place 2 wheels per balikbayan box,(not sure if 2 fits though, but i've heard its possible) stuff clothes in between wheels... then you are set, and if its cheaper for a set there than here, then....i think the rate now is $1.00 = P56.00 so, $500.00 would be P28,000

when coming back, you're entitled to one (75lbs. max) big box as luggage in addition to your suitcases and carry-ons. think around the size of a balikbayan box. you could definitely use this service to "import" yourself a set of wheels (or two).

You guys know all the places where you can get the "extra" goodies.

Anyway, with regards to parts. Unfortunately, Subaru was only officialy imported into the Philippines form a short period of time between in 97 and again in 2003. They say that they will again officialy import them in 06. So not much parts available for them here. I've had 4 Subarus here (97 Legacy GT-Bilstein, 95 WRX STI RA, 03 WRX, 05 STI USDM. All my mods either came from Japan or the States.

Now, if you were looking for Honda parts and even Evo stuff, then you can get those here.
