i might be checking out LMK this friday, so drifting is faster there. i gotta keep that in mind.

Tons of fun. My fastest time there was a 21.78, the guys that work there run it in 21.2* and most newbies can get down to a 22.5* if you're comfortable with driving aggressively.

GKR is fun but if you're with a group of competitive drivers, I like Lemans WAAAY more for the wheel to wheel action. When you're all of similar skill, GKR has no good places to pass. But Lemans has many places to pass (and to take alternate lines in traffic).
I was lucky enough one time to run Lemans when Gary Sheehan and the GST crew were there. I'm proud I wasn't the slowest. Best karting round I've ever had.

The only reason I say drifting is faster is because the karts have little low-end power and really pick up speed on the straightaway so in order to keep that momentum going you have to be doing a nice drift alongside the apex of the first turn after the straight away and whipping the kart around some more when you get to the 2nd turn as you will slow yourself down significantly in the S turn.

Indeed smooth but inevitably slightly sideways. I'm not talking about trying to have the rear end slide completely out. I've pulled a 21.78 recently and keep getting faster every time I go.
It's QQ thankyouverymuch

You can kick the kart out for a little bit the huge sweeper and make a good transition into the hairpin at LMK and hold the most speed.
it was better right after they finished setting up the new track and the whole place was dusty... hella double apexing.

Umigo Racing is another good kart place I recommend. It probably has the best track layout if you want to race with someone side by side. Its not as technical as Super Track but its much more fun than LMK. Plus, the prices are super fair. Last month, I got 11-6pm unlimited sessions for $50. Keep an eye for their deals. Its worth the drive.
