Peeeeerfect. Haha!

my bf and i met at a subie meet. We didnt start dating each other BECAUSE of the cars we drove...but its how we met so I'm at least a little grateful that we drive the same car (wrx/sti). I've dated a few car guys...but never a subie guy. It's fun cuz we both point out subarus when we see them or get excited to go look at one or something, talking about mods...lots of stuff. Car wise our thoughts are always on the same track, which is kinda cool. When dating guys that are into other cars...it's fun that the similiar interest is cars in general....but when youre both into subies, it's even more fun!

I currently need to get her a new carbon fiber hood for her Acura because the old one is jacked. I finegaled her into selling the crap pile and getting a caddy CTS touring edition though. So now I get rims and lowering kit.

Being with a Woman who is into cars SUCKS!!!! Now she wants a 69 El Camino before she turns 30 and im like well what about what I want?

END RANT!!!!

Reminds me of the little clip of the littlegirl and boy and the girl points into her underwear and says see this? This is what im going to use to controll you for the rest of your life...

I have dated a subie girl. she is on the board here too. it was cool to talk about cars and mods and things like that. but int he end it didnt work. we talked online via a thread here on the board then met at a meet. after that we talked a fair amount and started to date. it was fun while it lasted. there are some cool subie girls out there so dont give up hope. i find it hard to date a girl that is into all the same things i am cause there is never any time apart. sometimes you jsut want to get away and spend some time without them. its not that you dont like the time you spend with them but just need a little time to yourself.

as for there being a connection. ehh, it was cool but it was not the cars that kept us together. that was just a added bonus.

Nothing brings couples together like changing a turbo =)

But seriously, they say opposites attract - that's a load. The more you share with your SO, the longer and more meaningful the relationship has potential to be.

Yeah i always wondered if my old GF not being coordinated enough to do any of the sports i do was a good or bad thing.

I think thats why a lot of girls are into running, because its their limit of coordination not to sound like a jerk, im just stating the data i've gathered over time. seriously every time i ask a girl what she's into it's

"you know, hanging out with my friends and family, going out, watching a movie, running!"

and never any more than that! ughhhh! though this is maybe 10 of 15 have said similar to above...i don't talk to girls much only being a single man for about 6 months so far.

If you feel that driving the same car means its destiny.... you put entirely too much importance on your car

It can however, show an common interest which can lead to compatibility.

superstision like astrology. however i wont deny the chance of effect it'll have as common interest, such as working on cars and passion for cars, to work as a smooth catalyst in forming a unique relationship.

have a few beers and ask her some of her french fries. I **** you not, it works surprisingly well

seriously though, making a list of what you want and then trying to squeeze a girl into those requirements isn't the way to go. Listen to JOEBOB.

I think that it would be really awesome if the guy drove a subie, but just a love of cars is even more appreciated. A common interest is a good thing to have but sometimes the guys cant handle if the girl is more into cars than him (I have had this happen. I am really into cars but no obsessed, mind you).
But, like Matt said, if you think it is destiny because you drive the same car that might be a bit overboard. lol
