Giant Catfish

Caught at Lake Texoma. Supposed to be some new state record or something at 140 lbs.

That's an ugly fish!

One of my friends goes to Brazil to fish for Peacock Bass every year. I just rigged up a bunch of huge hooks with 250# cable leaders so he can fish for Redtail catfish. They regularly catch them in the 100# to 200# range. In Thailand, these things have been known to eat small pets, children and small adults!

yeah...these damn fish just kick back next to the inlets and just swim and eat all dang day long there whole lives. Food just funneling into them.

I watched this damn thing on discovery channel about it once.

It would be like taking fat bastard and sitting him below a garbage disposal and just pumping food down it 24x7. He doesn't have to do anything but eat and crap until he dies. maybe donate some sperm once a year.

I believe this is fake. I searched for it before and found that they haven't caught a fish that big. There have been some big ones caught at that lake, but not that one.

Maybe in the real picture, they're holding an alligator or something.

aaaaaahhhhhaaaaaa.

It's a fake. It's on the urban legends web page.
http://urbanlegends.about.com/librar...04_catfish.htm

I started thinking....a fish as big as what they are holding should be like....closer to 200 pounds.

That lake has some big fish though....121 pounder. A ton of huge cats in the range of 24-35 pounds and what not. Tons of huge spoons. Crazy big fish.
