^^^ I have seen these before...they are not true 3D, but the same picture taken from 2 or 3 slightly different positions that's repeated to give illusion of 3D...right? sick either way!

yeah these are old stereoscopes, you have to cameras a few feet apart take a picture at the same time. I think I saw the set you got this from of from Japan like 100 years ago, pretty cool!

Right on both counts!
Anigifs are useful for resurrecting old tech too!

yeah i remember learning about them in my photography class. they made special head gear that placed one image over each eye giving the illusion of space and depth.
