Cylinder deactivation, 20's, and 3.52's baby. Open freeway means it's a 4cylinder. Was your rental the Crew or Quad Cab? If I drive like a jackrabbit then yeah, around town it'll drop to 14.7. Yes, I verified the mileage and the amount to refill it to also cross-calculate. Pic in a second.

[Edit]Pics. Meta's in there if you want to question anything. Who did you buy the R/T from and what tune are you running? Are you running an aftermarket tune on it? #JustSaying. Driving habits, conditions, and tune matter. Mine still has plenty of power when I want it and will happily break the tires loose even with the anti-slip diff.

Want me to meet w you and ask our guy(s) to pull your tune code? I know when they did the update flash it screwed up my mileage a bit and the fuel mixture a ton so we ran the problem through the Star Report and were able to find a tune (of course, it's for the truck) that's California compliant and pretty much matches the original tune from the factory. The only change I've done is I run only 89 octane and say every 3-4 months run it almost empty (like when I take a longer batch of trips) and run a tank of 91 through it.

Gotta love the "LOLOLO" mileage huh?

Hey Lowend, what're some of your customers getting for mpg's on their trucks?

I drove a 1500 Ram Laramie with the 5.7 Hemi for about a year. Was overall 14-16 MPG
My new Silverado 5.3 is getting ~ 16, although it seem like it burns fuel a lot faster, might just be a smaller tank.

It was a 5.7L Hemi Crew Cab. I had it for couple weeks (January?) during the winter as my 4x4 car before switching into Wrangler Unlimited. I was not an utter pillock driving it, but plenty of East Coast driving requires a person to be assertive with the loud pedal to get anywhere.

Charger R/T is also a rental Mileage aside it is been my favorite everyday car out of all the crap I rented over the past 2 years (including Mustangs, Chargers, Camaros, Corvette's and BMWs). And unless your guys are in the Philly Metro area, it might be a bit inconvenient

Regardless, I have no idea how EPA tests for mileage, but all of my real world results differed from theirs. I realize my evidence is just a single anecdotal data point, which means diddly squat. And I am sure I would see completely different results if I gently hypermiled the Ram or Charger at no more than at posted speed limits...but I prefer to not be hated to shot by every motorist around me

Wait, so you are unhappy with the only part they pretty much kept as original?

I believe they were making them appear less droopy, but it does make them look smaller too.
