I wonder if this will catch on in photography. It hurts my head to look at actual 3D but this picture looks pretty cool.

ya nice pic but thats not really anything new, its just 3 images stitched together to give a 3D effect, you can do that with any camera, doesnt matter how cheap.

For example heres the same effect with a two image to create a 3D effect from over a hundred years ago in stereoscope...
