The insulting part in that photo is lumping Scotland & Wales together.

For me it's being called "British" when in fact I'm ENGLISH ...

Sweet - you spent much time over there? I love love love Edinburgh. Such an awesome place. I have some family near Glasgow and actually got married at a small ranch-type place called Craigadam in Dumfries. Pretty amazing place. You can hunt pheasant (for example) and they will cook it up for you for dinner.

but Jane- you have to admit- being called "British" is better than being called "Australian"

Yeah ... being called "British" instead of a "Convict" is better, but being called English is my preference!

It's nice to find a thread whether people know what their talking about instead of having to explain the difference between English & British and Great Britain & the United Kingdom!

Maybe the Irish, Scots and Welsh don't have to deal with that so much?
