Exclamation GDB STi Cluster Install

Would anyone be able to help me install and STi Cluster on my EJ205 WRX?

I purchased it from Japan....

I'm guessing some poor soul's car got wrecked from the earthquake/tsunami and had to part-out the car....

I have no experience in this sort of thing. It's basically the last thing I will ever purchase for my car...

Besides, the regular maintenance parts-

I can pay you a reasonable amount of money for your services or you could do it out of the kindness of your heart and I'd be happy to buy you lunch or dinner depending on how long it takes....

It arrives in 12-22 day's so there is no rush, just wanted to make arrangements!

Thanks guy's I really appreciate your care and concern all the time! This is a great community

Isn't there some wiring trick to make the speedometer actually show MPH though? I kind if want to say I've seen a trick so that when you're going 60 MPH it says you're going 60 KPH instead of 96 KPH.

Also, there is a place call tacoma speedometer that can adjust the odometer for the correct readout.

Other than that it should just be a matter of a few screws.

Excellent point VRT about the speedometer-

Imma have trouble keeping under/over speed limit....

Yeah, I don't know how to take the old cluster off...

Is there anyone in the area that would be willing to take a stab at it when the time comes? Thanks!

Does that mean you've done the install yourself?

I have a JDM STi v8 cluster. Wanted it because my motor redlines at 8k so I want the cluster to match. The first year GDB was '01. If you bought a '00 it's the wrong cluster and won't fit. Remember, Japan is a year ahead of us. 01-02 bugeye, 03-04 peanuteye, 05-06 hawkeye, ect.

Also, you'd want to change the KPH to MPH. They do make a plug and play connector. Just take the old speedo cable out from the trans and put the new one in. Here's the link

IA Performance KPH to MPH converter cord

I'd be willing to help you if you drove to my location.

That hella money. I remember I bought that same cable that connects to the transmisson last year for 45.00 dollars. The install is very easy for the cluster just a coouple screws and just plug and play. Just search on the forum I bet someone posted a write up on this.
