As the title says, what kind of interest is there for a 2000 2.5RS 4dr? Yes I'm thinking of parting ways with my Subie. Both the car and the i-club have been great (made some good friends along the way), it's just time to move on. I will stay in touch with my Subie bretheren though.

The car is 95% stock with just a few add-ons. Specs are as follows:

Mileage: ~31000
Trans: 5spd Manual w/ Redline oil
Condition: Overall very good w/ normal wear and tear. Slight paint damage from rocks and small scrape on front bumper from parking lot. Can be easily covered with touch-up paint.
Maintenance: All maintenance by owner unless a warranty repair. Oil changes every 5000mi. using Mobil 1 synthetic and K&N oil filter. Just had 30K service performed at SC Subaru. Has nearly brand new tires (RE92) installed.

Add-ons
- Subaru in-dash single-disc CD player.
- Infiniti 5 1/4" 3-way speakers in doors. Stock papers still in back.
- Kartboy short-shift kit
- 20mm Rear Sway Bar
- CUSCO Rear Strut Bar
- K&N Air-filter
- RAZO pedal set.

That's it. The rest is perfectly stock.

What do you guys think it is worth?

 

It's silverthorn metallic.

Didn't buy brand new RE92's, but they were free so why not use them. There are better tires out there, but I've found the RE92s to be just fine for everyday driving.

 

Is there really that little interest out there for a used GC8 sedan?

 

Currently there isn't much interest in RSs. It's not very easy to sell our cars for a decent price, but there are several people out there looking, just not a whole lot.

I think us GC owners will have a little easier time selling our car in the future, because there's quite a few less of them around than the GD bodies, it has better performance features than the post '01 2.5s, and it makes a great rally/race car (once the blue-book goes down a little).

I would try to sell it outside of i-club, you might have better luck.

 

I think there is some interest in the old GC RS cars, most people seem to like the look of them the best out of all the choices. The fact you can swap a WRX engine quite easily and LEGALLY into the car makes it that much more appealing. I guess it just comes down to finding the right buyer in the end.

I was been pre-approved for my new car today so the Subie is now officially FOR SALE. I'll give first dibs to the i-club, but if there is little interest I will be selling through autotrader or something.

BTW, this is the replacement.

 

OMG, that's my dreamcar, you suck. Are you getting it used? Do they still make the Motorsport Coup or Roadster since the introduction of the Z4?
