It makes sense if the tanker trucks that are used to carry the E85 are still using regular dino fuels to carry the E85. Rising costs of production and transportation eventually cause the prices to rise, but it sucks seeing the "Alternative Fuels" raising in prices as well as it makes people less inclined to transfer over to them if they don't see a reason to switch.

Heck how much of the fuel that comes out of the refineries in the Bay Area is actually being consumed locally? I mean, when problems occur up in Benicia we always seem to see rising gas prices even though that fuel is not being used by us locally it seems like.

I was chatting with my British buddy this morning and he was complaining that gas has just gone up to 1.31 British pounds a litre...working that out to the 17% smaller US gallon comes to spot on $8 a gallon to buy gas in most of Europe.

3.8 litres to a US gallon
1.55 Euros = $2.16

So in Portugal it's 3.8 x 2.16 = $8.20 per gallon in Portugal

Sorry to correct you.
