Gapers of Sonoma County unite.
I posted this at the other place but got no responses. I think most of the Bay hangs out here so ...
I day trip Squaw about 8 to 10 times a year. I usually ski on Saturdays. I leave about 4:30 AM from Petaluma, ski all day (lift open to lift close, but I'm flexable with that) and drive back. If you’re interested in splitting the gas and/or the driving, PM me. I can do mid-week also but that requires big snow the night before and good last minute planning
PM me here or there. I plan on going this up coming Sat.

I wish.... I was at squaw over NYE and managed to dislocate my shoulder on a very awkward fall. Took them over an hour to get me down the mountain to the med center... all with my shoulder hanging out. I have to see an orthopedist in the next day or two to see if I need surgery but either way I'm pretty sure my season is over
. Just amazing that in 8 years of skiing this is the first time I've ever really hurt myself. Falling FTL, Vicodin FTW!

You can get discounted tickets at REI if you're a member. They're about $10 off. Boreal is kind of a small hill. You're gong all that way you might as well ski a big hill. The difference is only going to be like $20. I prefer Squaw but I'll do NorthStar.
With the big storm coming, anybody for mid week at Squaw/NorthStar?

Alpine for me 9 times out of 10. Slightly cheaper and great terrain. I'd say Kirkwood, but all my shiz resides in Truckee... I'm heading up either Saturday or Sunday night and riding either Sunday or Monday. If this storm's a rockin'...
