FXT owners, advice needed.

FXT owners, advice needed.
Hey all! I'm helping my girlfriend get her first Subaru. After months of searching we have finally found a manual 2005 forester XT in our price range! I love my scoobs, but admittedly know very little about them. I was hoping to get some advice and feedback from those who own or have owned a FXT . Since the one I'm looking at has high mileage 160xxx ,I'm just curious as to how reliable the tranny and other major components are.
thanks for your time!
Rundown on the car:
-2005 fxt, manual - all stock
159,000 ( one owner, female, heavy commuter)
-replaced clutch
-new struts, springs and tires
-scheduled maintenance followed
-head gasket blown and replaced

the price is very fair, below blue book even. my overall vibe from talking on the phone with the lady was that she's super nice, loved her car and took great care of it. that's the only reason I'd consider buying a car with over 150xx . one of the most important factors for me personally when buying and selling cars is the overall trust factor. too many sketchy folks with imprezas these days lol.

I'd say drive the car and get it checked by a shop you trust regardless. People can be nice and not really know too much about their car that they love and take care of. Timing belt was done with all supporting maintenance as well? I.e. waterpump, timing belt tensioner, etc.
