We started finally started getting some respect then along came this ****ing Fast n Furious movie that celebrated the most ghetto, honda street racing, neon and altezza bull **** aspect of all japanese imports, and sure enough all the kids ran out to get their ghetto *** FnF cars and make asses out of themselves. It made us the laughing stock all over again. Seriously, its taken the import scene years to get out of the stigma FnF created.
But hey, Im sure this movie will be awesome, looks like it has a totally riveting plot of dropping cars out of planes and blowing **** up -_-
I don't have an issue with F&F franchise. Could it have been more realistic, factual, non-stereotypical, whatever? Absolutely...it is called documentaries and race day coverage Plus what Hollywood garbage ever has any of those characteristics? Taking F&F movies seriously is like relying on romantic comedies for relationship advice...though I wouldn't be surprised if there are people that do.

I also not sure perception of the Japanese/Import scene has changed that much among those muscle car douche bags or euro elitist...and definitely not among the general public...

I will wait until this comes out on DVD and watch during a flight...like I have all of the 6 previous ones.

There really is no "import" scene or japanese import cars in F&F franchise anymore, other than the occasional 1 or 2 cars (GT-R and STi) that make it into the movie. The rest of the cars are all domestics now (with the occasional German import).

1 and 3 were pretty stupid. 2 was down right obnoxious.

But things turned in 4 & 5. They had less stupid fake stuff about how it felt to go fast and it was much more polished.

I haven't watched the 6th yet, but plan to. This looks good too.

I think purely in comparison vs the first 3, these later ones are much better.

I'm curious what you guys think of the Need For Speed movie. I didn't find it as enjoyable as the F&F movies.

Hey now, some of us resemble that remark.

I gotta say i agree, I know a lot of us over here remember the days before this franchise, and the days after. Heck, I was running groceries and got to see first hand the stupidity that ensued the weeks following the release and how it pretty much ruined any chance of us ever again getting to meet for hot tasty round treats without a hassle ensuing.
