Funny night and story w/ ed (EQ)

Ok, so after a night of toying with Arya's waste gate actuator, as well as trying to get his AP to load some maps properly...which failed due to the new protuner software update.... Ed, Arya and I were all talking, and Ed started his MR2 to warm it up before he left. He closed the door. Woops? The car was locked and running. With AAA called, we got a wire hanger and were trying to unlock the door. After about 30 minutes of scraping in and out wire hangers, Ed got the winning punch on his unlock button and got in before AAA got there. Funny as hell! It was one hell of a spectator sport rofl, we were all like OOO,OOO,OOO, AAAA SO CLOSE!!! For 30 minutes. Ed and I got in n out after :P - worked up quite the appetite.

--edit--

Hopefully Ed doesn't kill me for posting . Hehe minus 15 hp for me when I get tuned :x.

Not really, we need to loosen up his actuator. He got it replaced because it was deemed faulty by S&S, but we are fairly certain the one he had on was fine. He had hit fuel cut the other night, and ed was supposed to update the map for him but he went to S&S and they replaced his actuator. So tonight Ed came over and adjusted the map and went to load it on, but he cant load anything but the cobb stage 2 map because they released a new version of the protuner software which is giving him issues when it comes to loading the map on. So we went out and Ed logged it and his car was spiking to like 20 psi in 5th, and it ended up pinging a bunch and went into limp mode. So his actuator needs to be loosened a bit to help deal with that - S&S set it pretty tight. Ed is emailing cobb about the map loading issue.

Hahaha.... man that was quite an experience. Never had to try to break into my own car before. I guess that's what happens with a 20 year old car with shotty wiring and a trigger happy power lock switch . I'm still amazed we got that damn thing open. Wire hanger FTMFW!

Morgan, nice meeting you and having a nice chat. Thanks for the In N Out BTW!

Sadly the newest version of Protuner has an interesting bug and I wasn't able to flash any maps I created with it on Arya's ECU. I'm e-mailing Cobb right now and hopefully we'll have it resolved ASAP. For the time being Arya is running the Cobb Stage 2 map which is still spiking quite a bit at lower RPM's with high load. I believe the wastegate actuator needs to be loosened a bit and of course tuned for it. It was a long night without any real successful outcome since I couldn't actually get to tuning the car. We'll get it running right very soon though.

Thanks

yeah, when he told me SS said he waste gate actuator needed to be replace i was thinking it wasn't the case because he/you guys didn't touch the thing during the install, so it should be fine. if anything maybe tightend a little after the DP install.

That sure was an epic night haha. I wish i had gotten it on film. My god...I am still wiping away tears.

Also about the whole actuator thing, i think Andrew was looking for a problem when I took my car him due to my paranoia and He noticed the actuator was a little bit loose so he put in a new one. I don't think he knew that he could adjust it using the c-clip (I know RU-X You told me, but it was too late)

With this Cobb Stage Two Map, My car is pinging, osculating, and in general running wayyyy too much boost so I think once Cobb gets in contact with Ed we should be able to work it all out...but for now I am stuck using Cobb's Map.

Oh and lastly, We figured out that I am Hurly from Lost and everything that I am around breaks, does not work, or will spontaneously combust for no reason.
