Funny Ish on way home.
So i'm on my way home from work with the wife in the car on central and im stuck behind some slow moving car, i drop a gear to go around it (i sped up to 80 and let off, yes i know tisk tisk i was going faster than i should but i did let off LOL). when i did that I passed an SRT4 and a 350z and a couple of other cars that were in another lane. The Z must have gotten his feelings hurt or something cause he sped up to catch/ fly by me ending up at a light sitting next to me with cars in front of us. He says something and i roll my window down to hear him, " got 5" and he puts his hand up as he says 5, i asked what 5 gears? LOL he is all " 500" I laughed and told him you have 500 you want to give me cause your not going to catch me. he reved his car and my wife asks does he want to race you with that thing? She and i both laughed and waved when the light went green. This guy had to be in his 50s. I wish i could have recorded the whole thing. His actions remind me of a teenager who's in dads car that's quicker than a honda for the first time.

you must understand the mentality of a 350z driver.... they are driving a 18-35 year old womans dream car. dont get me wrong it's a great car but men who drive 350z's tend to have the same complex as guys driving lifted ford f350's on 44's. my aunt just got a 350z and my uncle was talking a bunch of **** about how fast his car was and how he would kill me driving the 350z. we were in a super industrial part of oakland and i took him on a 0-80-0 run from stop sign to stop sign in my car. now he brags about my car to other people

I've had the same thing happen to me but with a S2000. I swear they have something to prove to themselves.
There was a ton of traffic and I was with my gf so I don't even bother with them.

Man, since I've owned my WRX and STI no one ever wants to play except Honda's and random commuter cars. I dont even bother cause the STI has horrible gas mileage as it is. . .plus save it for the track.

So did you take off on him or wave goodbye as he sped off? Also, just to warn you, if your caught talking about street racing of any kind there's a couple of *******s who will post sh*t against you, trying to act like mods themselves. Quite pathetic really, they do it to me all the time & i barely post any street racing stories, if all my posts were than it's a different story, but they're not, contrary to what they say.

Some older guy rolled up on me at Target, asked me if I wanted to race him (in his mid 80's olds), then he called my car a "sewing machine".
