FS: JDM V7 RA motor

We happen to have a JDM V7 RA motor with 13k on it available.

The RA motor is the same as the Spec C.

This package comes with the Motor, ECU and a custom made AVCS harness so it will plug up with the stock USDM wiring harness enabling the use of the AVCS with the JDM ECU.

Pricing for the above is $4200.

Oh the Turbo and IC are not available.

Professional installation is available for an additional fee.

skywalker - Thanks mate.

Kenn - Per Skywalker he can reflash the ECU for you to run on 91 no problem, we can also make it run on 91 with the addition of WI without reflashing it as has been proven on this setup from the car we pulled it from.

Awesome. FYI I'm not actually in the market, just remember the last guy I talked to with an RA engine carried around a 5-gallon drum of 100-octane wherever he went

Good luck with the sale, I'd DEFINITELY be there if I had the cash.

RA and Spec C motors are not the same.

There are few minor differences between them. For example, the cams are different.

I thought the V7 RA (very limited run prior to the Spec C) was identical to the Spec C?

Interesting, would you happen to know the difference in the cams and whatever else is different between the 2? I don't really want to unload a motor under false pretences so the details would help me out.

Either way, the motor is great and the price is great.

I had the specs somewhere. I know that Spec C had spicier cams.

Yep, the Spec C has "spicer" cams. RA stands for track preped i think. R being 2dr, like, Ver5 STi Type-R. And RA being 4dr, like Ver7 STi Type-RA.

At least, that's what I've read up on. You can get a WRX Type-RA also, need not be an STi i believe.

RA stands for Rally Applicant. You do the math.
